Preparing A Sermon

The two building blocks Sermon Jokes
In general, we can say that people make fun of two elements: shock and disgrace. These two blocks are necessary for the creation of great humor.
A cartoon that contains a lot of surprise would be a cartoon depicting Pope Benedict XVI skateboarding. It's funny because of the inconsistency. You are surprised by it – thinking a child would be mounted on the board in place.
A single line with a strong content the misfortune to be the line: It has been reported that Tiger Woods marital affairs are up to 14. Where does the man find the time to play golf?
Although funny, can in no way be used in front of his congregation. And this is one of the biggest problems for preachers to try humor in pulpit. Misfortune is a building block for humor, but the preachers can not focus on hostility, usually will have to weaken the misfortune – unless you are about ready to retire.
So what can you do? You have two alternatives.
In short, the best way to correct the hostile humor would find an additional story for use in the pulpit. I often use phase: When in doubt, do not install. There is a fine line between fair play and foul play, and a preacher in no way can cross it. Which other is to change the bad luck. A line like this can possibly get a higher response of his congregation: Tiger Wood crashed his car. He is a good driver, but only on the golf course. It is still on Mr. Woods, but unfortunately fell significantly when turned on.
When you have an unfortunately weak and feels the story is not humorous enough to make you laugh then focus on the impact factor by creating the story much more inconsistent.
It is essential that surprise and unfortunately in their stories. They are the keys to get a laugh from the pulpit or at any other time for that matter. Just keep in mind that you are not a stand-up comedian and what these comedians use humor material may be out of reach for you and your congregation.
